The Debian installer for AMD64 seems not to work with '-nographic' option for a change and works with QEMU GTK display window:). -display gtk,gl=on,grab-on-hover=on,zoom-to-fit=on -full-screen -no-quit produces a QEMU GTK display window which unfortunately does not react to any keyboard input.
